“‘Why,’ some say, ‘the moon?’” – John F. Kennedy

No, I wasn’t a famous astronaut. No, I wasn’t even born when Kennedy said those words (or when he was assasinated). But I did see an Apollo mission lift from the Cape. Although we were miles away, I still remember the roar of the first stage and the vibration at our feet. Behind my brothers and I were hundred of motorists parked alongside the road, while we waded in the water below playing with Jellyfish.

It was an interesting time, an optimistic time. Gas was under 50 cents, Mom stayed home, Dad bowled on Thursday nights, and we all ate dinner at the same time same table. Our black and white TV’s replacement with the Montgomery Ward’s color still fresh in our memory. (they still had tubes that my Dad tested at this machine at the local drugstore) I didn’t watch daytime TV much cause of the Vietnam news, Watergate hearings, and Barbara Walters’ talkshow “Not for Women Only (now called ‘The View’).”

Time and events shape us all, and they have shaped me.

Just Call Me Prox

But my name is Joe Wagner. I graduated from UofM in the eighties, taught school, and then supported computer users and networks. Now I am also becoming an independent filmmaker. My current project is Star Trek: Mirrorverse.
